歩いて登山 3ルート｜観光・登山モデルコース｜一般社団法人宮島観光協会
厳島（宮島）は、約6000年前に瀬戸内海ができたとき対岸と分離して島になりました。厳島の最高峰は弥山で535m、駒ヶ林506m、岩船岳466.6mです。
古代から霊威が感じられ島全体が信仰の対象でした。593年厳島神が御鎮座され、平安時代頃から山岳宗教の対象にもなって、弥山には三鬼大権現がお祀りされ、806年に弘法大師（空海）が弥山を開基し真言密教の修験道場となりました。
江戸時代になると、民衆も厳島詣で七浦巡りと弥山への信仰登山を盛んに行っていたようです。明治時代になり、初代総理大臣を務めた伊藤博文公は、弥山信仰に篤く、1906年に弥山への参詣道の改修に尽力し、記念碑が大聖院登山コ－ス入口にあります。 1996年12月嚴島神社が世界文化遺産に登録されたときには、その前面の海と背後の弥山原始林（国天然記念物）431.2haが含まれました。
2004年に登山家岩崎元郎氏が発表した「新・日本百名山」にも選ばれました。
トレッキングには手軽なコ－スではありますが、宮島の山は急峻で迷い込むと危険な山でもあります。安全な以下の3コ－スをご利用下さい。

宮島の獅子岩展望台まではロープウェイで行ける。そこからさらに20分程度かけ
弥山山頂まで登る。近年は外国からの観光客がとても多くロープウェイも大変混みあっている。また、休止している期間（冬季）もあるので確認要。
筆者は秋～春まで月に1回程度弥山に登っているが、宮島口からでる始発のフェリーで
弥山に登る。ロープウェイの運行時間になると山頂も観光客で大変混みあうからである。夏場は登山道にマムシがでるので要注意である。
また、低山であっても過去には大元ルート経由の登山道から外れ遭難者がでている（翌日無事保護）なので、道に迷いそうならガイドさんや登山者は多いので遠慮なく道を聞いて欲しい。看板の案内マップがアバウトなので弥山山頂からの下山ルートが判らないという方が多いので比較的わかりやすい観光協会の地図を載せた。
弥山山頂へは東の獅子岩方面から登り、西へ下山する。わからなければ獅子岩に戻りロープウェーで下山するほうが無難である。
弥山山頂の展望台の営業時間は10時から16時まで（トイレは24時間利用可能）
１階は売店でお菓子やマップが売られている。（営業時間内は管理人さん常駐）
初めての弥山に登る人は、紅葉谷コースから登り大聖院コースで下山するのが分かりやすい。登山・下山コースは谷間になっているので暗くなるのが早く冬場は夕方５時夏場でも夕方７時までには下山しよう。

I can go by a ropeway to a lion rock observation deck of Miyajima. From there more for around 20 minutes
I go up to the Mt. Misen mountaintop. In late years there are very many tourists from the foreign country, and the ropeway is crowded very much, too. In addition, (the winter season) is the confirmation pivot in there being it during a period stopping, too.

I climb Mt. Misen. This is because the mountaintop is crowded with tourists very much when it is the service time for ropeway. Because a mamushi appears in the mountain trail in the summertime, it is to watch out.

I descend a mountain from the east lion rock area to the up, the west to the Mt. Misen mountaintop. One to return to a lion rock if I do not understand it, and to descend by a ropeway is passable.
The business hours of the observation deck at the Mt. Misen mountaintop from 10:00 to 16:00 (can use the restroom for 24 hours)

It is plain that the person climbing first Mt. Misen descends a mountain in House of uphill great sage course from the colored leaves valley course. It will descend a mountain early by 7:00 in the evening even in the summertime at 5:00 in the evening in winter to darken because mountain climbing, the descent from a mountain course becomes the valley.
